The resource file contains a mst# resource that will allow MultiFinder to locate the “Open Archive…” command in the “File” menu of StuffIt. This will allow you to double click on a stuffit archive to open it in multifinder even when stuffit is already open in background under multifinder. Which means NO MORE sorry I can’t do that messages from multifinder.
The mst# resource should be pasted into a copy of Stuffit using ResEdit. To do this open ResEdit, open StuffIt Fix, select mst# resource, copy resource, close mst# resource, open copy of StuffIt, Paste, close StuffIt, Quit ResEdit.
P.S. If an Archive is already open then you still out of luck because StuffIt only opens “1” Archive at a time. (But if an archive was open then you would probably see the archive window anyway and wouldn’t be double clicking the archive)
P.S.S. the “TEXT” resource in the file is just a smaller version of this and does not need to be copied into StuffIt.
